VILLA ROSA - YOUR HOME FROM HOME

We have been followed by two TV UK shows, telling the story of how we exchanged our everyday stresses for this simpler, richer life. We found and bought Villa Rosa through one of them, because it has the best views, is in the friendliest village in the world… and is less than a 5-minute walk down to the sea and beachside tavernas. Each bedroom has aircon, an ensuite bathroom, balcony and enjoys the same uninterrupted 180-degree view of the islands and volcanos of the Saronic Gulf. Villa Rosa is set up for you to enjoy the best environment for relaxing and socialising.

Villa Rosa is carbon neutral and we are becoming a fully sustainable business, making relevant contributions into the local Greek community. We will only ever provide for small numbers of people who want to enjoy the beauty and add to the community of this special place. (more)

The main house has one double and one twin bedroom and a full entertaining floor with 180-degree views of Epidavros and the Saronic Gulf, right across to Athens, forty miles away. With a separate entrance, on the ground floor, we have a self-contained two-bedroom apartment that can sleep up to six.

A locally sourced breakfast is included and available as a buffet, fresh every morning.

There is wifi throughout the villa and we have a playroom full of beach toys for your free use - Stand-up paddleboards, balls, racquets, beach beds and umbrellas.

We decided not to build in a swimming pool at Villa Rosa, as with the non-tidal Saronic sea less than 200 metres right in front of us, creating the perfect swimming pool, there was nothing we could build that would come anywhere close to the feeling of a swim in that warm sea before breakfast or with a beer at the beachfront bar, after a day’s activities. We thought both us and the planet would be slightly healthier if we kept life as natural as possible.

Should Villa Rosa be full, we have further accommodation options, from the best local hotel, 200m away, to a boutique beach-front hotel in front of the villa.

Idyllic villa and location close to the beach and ancient Epidavros - 5/5

“My family and I had a wonderful stay at Villa Rosa, it had something for all ages. We enjoyed walking to the local beach and bathing/playing in the crystal clear waters. The teenagers enjoyed snorkelling at the sunken city nearby and playing basketball/football near Epidavros harbour in the evenings. The highlight for me was a performance of The Trojan Women by Euripides at the big Epidavros theatre about 30 minutes drive away - a real treat, it even had projected subtitles!

We did need the car to visit the harbourside sports and restaurants in the evenings and my elderly father needed a lift to & from the beach - parking was fine. He would have been happy staying home as the views from the villa are gorgeous - on all levels. Chris was a great host, always on hand and the villa was extremely well supplied including beach equipment and chairs - which were good for my parents. It is a beautiful, characterful, spacious villa and the local area is very special - we loved the harbour - I ran there and back in the mornings along the beach and an access road which was a safe route on foot, it could be walked too, via the little theatre (where they sometimes show films). The beach is only a 5-minute walk. This is a great place for active families who like to get to explore! A trip to Nafplion and its beaches is definitely worth it! Probably Mycenae too.”
